Equity Starts Early: Strategies to Consider in Promoting High-Quality Early Education

More than half of low-income children, compared to one quarter of their more affluent peers, lack the skills necessary to start school ready to learn and these disparities seem to widen over time. This webinar will examine the recent Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) report Equity Starts Early: How Chiefs Will Build High-Quality Early Education and five identified key policy areas to consider that can help close the achievement gap and also improve early childhood programs. Hear about state examples and from leaders who are working on one or more of the recommendations.
