State Legislatures Magazine is the award-winning publication from the National Conference of State Legislatures.
NCSL will publish an edition in August 2024 in conjunction with the Legislative Summit in Louisville, Ky. The magazine will be distributed on-site to all Summit attendees. Space reservation and materials deadline: Friday, May 17, 2024.
NCSL will publish a special edition in January 2025 commemorating the organization’s 50th anniversary. The special edition will be mailed to 16,000 recipients, including state legislators and staff across the nation. Space reservation and materials deadline: Monday, Oct. 7, 2024.

- 70-pound matte interior; 100-pound cover with matte coating. Perfect-bound.
- PDF strongly preferred.
- All images must be CMYK and 225-300 dpi. Rich black build is C-60 M-40 Y-30 K-100. Only use this build for large, solid areas of black coverage. DO NOT use this build for body copy, thin lines or small elements.
- Please make sure NO spot colors are in use in the document. Add ¼” for full bleed.

Copy Acceptance
Paid advertising with State Legislatures will be within the generally accepted bounds of taste and quality appropriate to a national magazine of state government and policy, as long as the advertisement is not overtly partisan or political. The publisher reserves the right to reject any advertisement considered unsuitable for the publication. Advertisers will place "ADVERTISEMENT" in a minimum of all-caps, 6-point type in a legible location at the top of their final creative.
Liability
Advertisers and advertising agencies assume liability for the contents of all advertisements printed and also assume responsibility for any claims arising there from against the publisher.
