NCSL strengthens state legislatures through research, publications and technical assistance on the legislative institution, those who serve within it and its operations, processes and procedures. The conference tracks and analyzes information about legislator demographics, their compensation and benefits, partisan composition and legislator terms in office. It also provides expertise on legislative operations and human resources and is home to national experts on state legislative sessions and rules and procedures.
