LEGISLATIVE EDUCATION STAFF NETWORK

LESN is a network of knowledgeable legislative staff who work on education policy and, since 1986, has provided opportunities and online resources for education staff. It is a partnership of NCSL and the Education Commission of the States. All education legislative staff are invited to participate.

OVERVIEW | EDUCATION

The NCSL Education Program tracks state legislative action on K-12 education, college and career readiness, higher education and adult learning. We gather and conduct research on education topics important to states, provide customized assistance for state legislatures, highlight education policy news and disseminate information on best practices relating to state and federal education issues.
