Asthma is a serious chronic disease impacting quality of life and health outcomes for about 6 million children in the U.S. While childhood asthma can be effectively managed for most kids, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates about 44% of children currently have uncontrolled asthma, placing them at greater risk for asthma attacks, hospitalizations and missed school days.
