I came to the Capitol to because I was able to continue my passion for educating students about civics education and do so in the most amazing building in our state.

What do you want people to know about civics education?

Civics education is very strong in Wisconsin. Our young people are ready and eager to learn all they can about government and what it takes to make a difference. Never underestimate what today’s youth are capable of.

What skill or talent are you most proud of?

I am quite proud of the fact that I can make government fun and exciting for young people.

What’s the best advice you were ever given?

Hard work pays off.

Civic Learning Week

Who or what inspires you?

My parents and my family are my inspiration. My parents have raised me to live with integrity and to lead others with compassion and kindness. My family and children are my legacy and the reason I fight to make the world a better place.

What’s one thing you love about your state or territory?

What’s not to love about Wisconsin? One of my most favorite things is the change of all four seasons.

What are you currently reading/listening to/watching?

I am watching all of my kids play sports throughout the state and sometimes traveling to other states to watch them play football, volleyball, basketball, softball, track and baseball.
