Why did you choose to work at the Legislature?

I had the opportunity to stretch my professional wings and I accepted the challenge.

I’m proud of my creative writing skills and that my work has been selected for publication in literary journals.

What’s the best advice you were ever given?

Believe you can do anything.

Who or what inspires you?

I’m inspired by women like U.S. Del. Stacey Plaskett (D-Virgin Islands), U.S. Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.) and, of course, Michelle Obama.

What's one thing you love about your state or territory?

I love our culture and the unique space we occupy as both Americans and Caribbean people.

What are you currently reading/listening to/watching?

I'm currently reading “Erasure,” by Percival Everett. I’m listening to Rachel Chinouriri and just finished binge-watching “Fellow Travelers.”
