Why did you choose to work at the Legislature?

I started working for our Fiscal Division after moving home from Boston. A friend of mine suggested that I apply for an open position with our Ways and Means Committee.

What skill or talent are you most proud of?

The trust and relationships I build with my membership.

What’s the best advice you were ever given?

Do the best you can until you know better. Then, when you know better, do better.

Who or what inspires you?

My family. My parents gave me the gift of extensive traveling growing up. I saw and experienced so many places and cultures. I have been doing that with my husband and girls. My hope is to inspire my girls the same way my parents did and have them stay curious and keep exploring!

What’s one thing you love about your state or territory?

Our culture! Our music, food and way of life. I want to preserve my Cajun culture by passing it down to my girls

What are you currently reading/listening to/watching?

Reading: New legislator bios

Listening to: Van Morrison

Watching: With children, I tend to watch what they are watching, “The Who Was? Show” on Netflix or Harry Potter. If I get to watch something for myself, it is “Outlander”!
