Why did you choose to work at the Legislature?

My community is very important to me and when I saw the opening for my role, I knew that it was an opportunity to be able to connect with constituents and be of service to them and the legislators I work with. The fast-paced environment and knowing every day will be different is something that I really enjoy.

What skill or talent are you most proud of?

I’m proud of being bilingual because it allows me to connect with more Spanish-speaking communities. I am proud that I can translate information so more communities can be aware of what we’re doing for them.

What’s the best advice you were ever given?

To be grateful for every opportunity in life. Sometimes it can be easy to forget that I am privileged to work with the people I work with, and I’m thankful for where I am and what I do every day.

Who or what inspires you?

My inspiration is the well-being of underprivileged communities in my state as well as the country. I want to be able to get to a point in my life where I can give back and help others. Life is a challenging journey for all of us, especially nowadays, and I’d like to see the various communities I interact with have the same opportunities that others have.

What’s one thing you love about your state?

I love that I can go out and drive 20 minutes and be in a canyon where I can be fully immersed in nature. The view of the mountains is something I try not to take for granted.

What are you currently reading/listening to/watching?

“Succession” is currently my favorite show. The writing and acting is incredible. Highly recommend it to anyone reading this.
