SALT Task Force – Strategic Planning and Priority Setting Meeting with Executive Committee

This is a meeting of the SALT Task Force and it’s advisory members to set policy priorities and discuss the scope of work of the taskforce for 2024.

An opportunity for informal conversations with your colleagues

1 – 1:15 p.m.                   Welcome and Introductions

1:15 – 1:45 p.m.              Summary of 2023 Task Force Activities
A quick overview of the task force’s 2023 activities will be provided.  The group will discuss if any additional actions are needed on the work.

1:45 – 2:45 p.m.              Advisory Group Priority Sharing
A representative from each advisory group will have five minutes to share their priorities for the task force to consider.             

2:45 – 3 p.m.                   Break

3:00 – 4 p.m.                   Task Force Priority Setting
Task force members will participate in a snow card activity and discussion to identify the task force priorities for the 2024 calendar year.

4 – 4:45 p.m.                   Business Meeting/Action Steps
The group will identify any work groups that need to be created, topics for one virtual meeting prior to May meeting, agenda items for May meeting, other business.

5:00 – 6:30 p.m.                   Join NCSL’s Executive Committee Reception
