The workshop is specifically designed for legislative fiscal staff familiar with revenue data from a select group of states to learn about stress testing methodologies and begin stress testing their state’s budget using a case-study approach.
The goal of this workshop is for each attendee to understand the case-study approach to budget stress testing and use the approach to produce preliminary calculations which can be further refined as needed after the workshop. A finalized stress test report can then be used by policymakers and budget staff to inform reserves, contingencies, and other priorities.
