General Session—Effectively Managing Multi-Generational Teams
Revere Hotel
Today's workforce includes members of at least four (possibly five) generations. Managers can learn to recognize the benefits of the differences as well as effectively addressing the challenges. Unique preferences, habits and behaviors means that managers need to develop skill around adaptability and flexibility. Adjusting leadership approach rather than stereotyping or blaming the generational difference, allows managers to respect, value and leverage the talents of each team member regardless of age.

We will explore tactics and techniques to recognize when generational difference can present problems and how to turn the differences into an advantage for the individual and the team.

Speaker: Dan Collier, Head of Learning and Development, Suffolk Construction
