Hometown: Helena, Mont., but I was born and raised in Great Falls, Mont.
Role: Publications Officer, Montana Legislative Services Division
Years of legislative service: Six
One thing she loves about her state: “The entire place counts as ‘one thing’ in this scenario, right?”
Why did you choose to work at the legislature?
I’d been a public information specialist for two years and deeply missed working on publications projects. After 15 years in the executive branch, I didn’t know how different the legislative branch would be (in a good way).
What skill or talent are you most proud of?
Looking calm while feeling the opposite.
What’s the best advice you were ever given?
Progress, not perfection.
Who or what inspires you?
Doing my absolute best for the legislators and people of Montana.
What are you currently reading/listening to/watching?
I’m about to start “This House of Sky: Landscapes of a Western Mind,” by Montana author Ivan Doig, as part of the Montana PBS virtual book club.
