What do you find most enjoyable or rewarding about your job?
The dedication of friendly staff, helping others and making a difference.
What has been your greatest challenge or frustration?
People not showing enough respect for our legislative institution and the work that we do.
When you are not working, what might we find you doing?
Working out, visiting family and enjoying friends.
Any insights for your peers? Any shoutouts to colleagues or legislators you’ve worked with?
Have a positive outlook and a strong work ethic. There’s no job too small or big to do and do right. Take time to appreciate meeting and working with people from all works of life.
Anything else your legislative staff peers might find interesting?
This year, the Virginia General Assembly is commemorating 400 years of history since we are America’s first and oldest representative law-making body in the Western Hemisphere (1619-2019). What began here became a model for American democracy that has influenced the world. I am lucky to be a part of that legacy.
