NCSL turned 50, and we’re celebrating a half-century of commitment to strengthening the nation’s legislatures at the annual Legislative Summit in Boston, Aug. 4-6.
Registration is open, so visit NCSL.org/summit to secure your spot. Early-bird registration closes on June 13.
The Summit is the nation’s largest bipartisan gathering of state lawmakers and legislative staff. Thousands of lawmakers and staff will convene in Boston to network with colleagues from across the nation, learn what’s working in the states and dive into the hottest policy topics and trends.
A wide-ranging lineup of policy sessions will cover, among other topics, what’s new with AI and the legislature, having hard conversations, the impacts of the 2024-25 Supreme Court decisions, rising housing costs and higher rents, reducing youth crime, solving the PFAS puzzle, along with America’s most hated tax, universal broadband, budget belt-tightening, tech’s effect on kids, “unretirement,” the brave new world of college sports, the ABCs of THC, and navigating the Medicaid budget, financial fraud, carbon capture—and much more.
The Summit Exhibit Hall will feature more than 250 emerging businesses, nonprofit organizations, government associations, educational institutions and familiar global brands.
Among the general sessions is “The Challenge of Change” with Shankar Vedantam, host of the “Hidden Brain” podcast, who will discuss the unconscious patterns that drive human behaviors and shape the capacity for change.
Come for the policy, stay for the fun.
