How are river conditions in your state this spring? Where are housing costs most burdensome? A new collection of interactive maps is a one-stop shop for state policymakers tracking two dozen issues, from drought conditions and population change to housing costs and broadband speed.
Produced by Esri, a geographic information system software company, the maps are grouped in portfolios for all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico. Some maps, such as those for air quality and wildfires, are updated as often as every 15 minutes; others, including state unemployment rates, are updated monthly.
The portfolios compile mapped data from several federal sources, including the Environmental Protection Agency, the Census Bureau and the departments of Transportation and Education. Explore a wealth of topics by state in the Esri portfolios.
