While there are more than 100 vehicle manufacturers in the world, only seven companies commanded a top spot in U.S. sales in 2024, according to Reuters. New vehicle sales reached 15.9 million last year, the highest in five years. The Ford-150 truck and the Honda CR-V continue to be the leading models. Three of the top seven companies—Toyota, Honda and Nissan—are based in Japan but have U.S. factories. And with an average of 30,000 parts in a single vehicle, there is no car or truck on the list made exclusively in America. Sources: Reuters, Road and Track.
