Welcome to the new ncsl.org, where visitors will find the same great content with a fresh look and updated, streamlined pages organized to allow quick navigation to all of NCSL’s resources.

Some of the new features:

  • A new, newsier homepage design with a prominent search tool that allows you to filter by topic or use keywords. The simplified navigation includes:
    • Our Work: Resources on research and policy, legislators, legislative staff, state-federal relations, training, and caucuses and networks.
    • News: The latest on state policy, politics and personalities through articles, podcasts, newsletters and news releases.
    • Events: A new and improved calendar of in-person and online meetings, webinars and other events.
    • About Us: NCSL’s mission and history, plus links to more on legislative leaders, legislatures, the NCSL Foundation for State Legislatures, careers at NCSL and a new NCSL staff directory.
  • Content that’s clearly labeled so you know exactly what’s in store. From in-depth reports to shorter summaries, from databases covering the states and territories to toolkits putting an assortment of information at your fingertips, you can search by resource type, such as maps, tables or news articles.
  • Simple sharing tools. Want to send a resource to a friend or colleague? Enhanced share buttons allow you to easily send via social media, email, Messenger and more. You can also select print for a clean hard copy.
  • Email contact forms on most pages to easily contact NCSL staff with questions, requests or more information.
  • Additional resources and related articles. Crave more content on a specific topic area? Scroll to the end for links to more recently added information.
  • A responsive design that looks great no matter what device you choose to view it on.

NCSL is committed to serving and supporting legislators and legislative staff, and the updated website allows for better access to the conference’s wealth of content. So, go ahead and start digging in: There's a lot of great content to discover.
