Washington, D.C.—The National Association of Government Communicators (NAGC) is pleased to announce that Mick Bullock has been named president-elect for the upcoming two-year term. NAGC is the premier organization dedicated to advocating, promoting and recognizing excellence in federal, state, and local government communication.
Bullock brings extensive experience in public relations and governmental affairs. His leadership is expected to significantly contribute to the NAGC's mission of advocating, promoting, and recognizing excellence in government communication.
"I'm honored and excited to step into the role of president-elect for the National Association of Government Communicators," Bullock says. "This organization has been a cornerstone in my professional journey, and I'm eager to give back by supporting the talented communicators who work tirelessly to serve the public."
As president-elect, Bullock will focus on improving alliances between government communications and the private sector, strategic planning for the organization, and supporting government communicators through professional development opportunities, networking and sharing best practices.
Bullock is the director of public affairs for the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL). Based in the organization's Washington, D.C., office, Bullock has more than 16 years of communications experience and is responsible for NCSL's digital media, videos, podcasts, media relations and member outreach. Before joining NCSL, Bullock worked as communications director for Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant.
Bullock is an active member of NAGC, serving on its Executive Committee and as the strategic partnerships director.
Originally from Columbia, Miss., Bullock is the son of Mitchell Bullock and the late Beverly Bullock. He received his BA in communication from the University of Southern Mississippi and his MSM from Belhaven College. Bullock currently lives in Washington, D.C., and when he is not working, he is traveling or at the gym.
