Resource Page
This page hosts the presentations and other resources from the 2022 Roundtable on Evaluating Economic Development Tax Incentives, held Nov. 2-4 at the Sofitel Lafayette Square in Washington, D.C. The roundtable focused on state economic development tax incentive evaluations and was largely discussion-based. The momentum around evaluations continues to build as most states have adopted legislatively authorized evaluation processes. Additionally, states are releasing evaluation reports with increasingly high-quality, rigorous analysis of incentive programs. A growing number of states are acting upon the results of these evaluations, using the findings to inform policymaking.
This meeting was made possible through the generous support of The Pew Charitable Trusts.
