As the nation's leading bipartisan organization serving the needs of legislators and legislative staff, NCSL places a special emphasis on its redistricting resources. Below you will find webpages, articles, podcasts and videos that may prove helpful to states' redistricting efforts. Please note: excepting certain census resources, this page includes resources and products from 2016 to the present. For information from 2015 or earlier, please see this webpage.

If you're new to redistricting, we recommend starting with our overview pages. The Redistricting Starter Kit for Legislative Staff is the perfect primer for someone just dipping their toes into the redistricting waters. Looking for more detail? Our research is divided by topic, with the greatest emphasis on two core topics: data (including the census) and law. If you don't see what you're looking for, email Ben Williams to request more detailed information.
