2019 Western States Policy Meeting Resources

NCSL convened a meeting in Tucson, Ariz., June 2-4 to discuss strategies for improving employment opportunities for people with disabilities. NCSL, with the Council of State Governments, hosted state legislators and executive branch staff with an interest or specialty in disability-related policy from six Western states who developed detailed policy action plans to address ways their states can improve access to employment for people with disabilities. National experts presented to attendees on state employee hiring practices, accessible transportation, inclusive apprenticeship programs and keeping injured workers in the workforce. Their presentations and provided resources are included below.
