Overview
Teina M. Phillips is the program director of the Transforming Our Community’s Health (TOUCH) initiative, a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Community Transformation Grant (CTG) awarded to the Broward Regional Health Planning Council in Broward County, Fla. The TOUCH initiative is the only large county Implementation Community Transformation Grant in Florida. Phillips has a master's degree in public administration and more than 20 years of experience in developing innovative programs, managing comprehensive projects, coordinating multi-agency initiatives and building a sense of “community” among diverse groups of individuals. Phillips feels very fortunate to collaborate with TOUCH’s more than 30 community organizations and coalitions as they work together for a healthier Broward County. She will be sharing with you a brief overview of the Community Transformation Grant partners, collaborative process, and collective impact elements in Broward County.
