Driven in part by the sovereign debt crisis in the European Union and a greater focus on
U.S. federal government debt, the past year has seen an increase in speculation over the
prospect of trouble in the $2.8 trillion municipal bond market.  Are these fears overblown?  Or should states be considering the prospect of a potentially sharp increase in borrowing costs in the future?  This session explores issues on the topic of state and local government debt.
