STGWG Spring Meeting, June 26-28, 2018 | Idaho Falls, Idaho
The State and Tribal Government Working Group (STGWG) will hold its spring meeting on June 26-28, 2018 at the Shilo Inn Suites Hotel-Idaho Falls, Idaho Falls, Idaho.
The meeting will be held in conjunction with the National Governors Association (NGA) and the Federal Facilities Task Force (FFTF). NCSL and NGA staff have worked closely to ensure sessions minimize overlap and allow for productive joint sessions. Also, U.S. Department of Energy officials from headquarters and field offices are invited and encouraged to participate in the meeting.
Register for the Meeting:
There are no fees to register. However, registration is required. This meeting is by Invitation only. NCSL and DOE reserve the right to accept registrations submitted by invited guests only.

Book Your Hotel
Each attendee is responsible for making his or her hotel and travel arrangements STGWG Members should book their lodging by calling the Shilo Inn. Please indicate that you are attending the NCSL/NGA conference to receive the negotiated rate per night.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the rate of $109 plus taxes and fees. This rate will be available until the May 30th or until the room block sells out. Please note that between Memorial Day, May 28th, and Labor Day September 23rd, the government rate of $93.00 is unavailable at the Shilo Inn Suites Hotel in Idaho Falls. The conference rate of $109, is the lowest rate available.
NCSL will request direct billing (for room rate plus taxes / fees) prior to your arrival for approved representatives, who will have their travel expenses covered by NCSL. The hotel will still request a credit card to have on file for incidental charges. If your organization will have multiple attendees, contact Angie Lucas to indicate who will be reimbursed by NCSL.
Following routine hotel protocols, at the time of reservation, a credit card will be requested, to which one night's deposit may be charged.
Please call Christopherson Business Travel at (800) 825-3283 (7 a.m. to 6 p.m. MDT) or (303) 694-4344 to make airline reservations. Travel booked through Christopherson will be directly billed to NCSL for approved travelers. When booking, notify the travel agent that you are part of the STGWG meeting.
Travel and Meeting Dates for STGWG
- Mon., June 25 - Travel day for STGWG with tentative evening reception and briefing.
- Tues., June 26 - Idaho National Laboratory Tour
- Wed., June 27 - STGWG Tribes will meet in the morning followed by a joint lunch with FFTF and afternoon session for STGWG States and Tribes.
- Thurs., June 28 - Meeting sessions will end by 3:00pm or earlier; Travel home in evening if possible.
- Fri., June 29 - Travel day as needed

All attendees are responsible for making ground transportation arrangements to and from the airport.
Shilo Inn Suites Hotel-Idaho Falls offers free shuttle service to the hotel. When you have collected your luggage, call (208) 523-0088. Visit the Idaho Falls Regional Airport website for taxi and public transportation options.
NCSL will reimburse eligible travel-related expenses for one representative per member tribe and one representative per member state. Participants must attend relevant meeting sessions and activities to receive full reimbursement.
- If your state or tribe will have multiple attendees, contact Angie Lucas to designate who will be receiving travel funding from NCSL.
- STGWG state representatives, who are also members of NGA’s FFTF, will receive an email from either NCSL or NGA staff indicating which group will reimburse your travel expenses. If you have concerns, please reach out to either group.
Approved meeting participants will be reimbursed after the meeting for incidental meeting expenses not paid for directly by NCSL. Additional attendees from your state or tribe are invited to participate but must pay their own travel costs. Please save your receipts for reimbursement.
