The Nuclear Energy Tribal Working Group (NETWG) is a chartered working group, focused on engaging tribal governments interested in the broad spectrum of Department of Energy (DOE) nuclear energy activities.
NETWG explores such topics as nuclear research and development, small module reactors, stakeholder outreach, STEM education, emergency response and planning activities and potential economic business opportunities.
On Aug. 1-3, 2017, NETWG will convene at the Buffalo Thunder Resort, Santa Fe, N.M. for its third quarterly meeting of 2017. The meeting will be hosted at the Pueblo of Pojoaque, one of NETWG's member tribes. In additional to the meeting, members will participate in a tour of Los Alamos National Laboratory and attend Pueblo of Jemez's Feast Day.
There are no fees for this meeting, however registration is required.

Note: If you plan to attend the Los Alamos National Laboratory tour, you will need to provide your driver’s license or U.S. passport number, date of birth and social security number as well.
A block of rooms has been reserved at a conference rate of $100 plus applicable tax. NCSL will make hotel reservations for NETWG members.

Travel booked through Christopherson will be directly billed to NCSL. Please make your travel arrangements to Albuquerque International Airport or Santa Fe Airport by July 14, 2017. Travel booked after this time will require prior approval by NCSL.

Albuquerque International Airport
Shuttle: The Sandia Shuttle Express will take you to the Santa Fe Depot. You will then meet the Buffalo Thunder Resort Shuttle. (Your trip will take about 2.5 hours.) Reservations are required to guarantee a seat. Tickets are $30 per person one way and $55 per person, round trip.
Santa Fe Airport
Shuttle: Road Runner Shuttle is available by reservation. For reservations call (505) 424-3367. Their kiosk is in the terminal of the Santa Fe Airport and they will transport you directly to Buffalo Thunder Resort. The fee is $42 one way.
Uber: Estimated Uber fares range from $34 -$41 one way, depending on the time of arrival and departure.Travel time is approximately 20 minutes.
Hotel Parking: If you plan on driving to the meeting, parking is available at the hotel for $12 per day and will be reimbursed by NCSL.
