Tyrone Reitman is the executive director of the nonprofit organization Healthy Democracy, which manages the Citizens Initiative Review process in Oregon and other states. Citizens Initiative Reviews is a process for citizens to publicly review ballot measures and share their work with all voters. Professionally, Reitman advocates for increased transparency and accountability in government and politics. Reitman also has worked for and volunteered with a number of ballot initiative campaigns, acquiring a firsthand understanding of Oregon’s initiative process.
