Washington – Seven state organizations, National Governors Association, National Conference of State Legislatures, The Council of State Governments, National League of Cities, National Association of Counties, United States Conference of Mayors and International City/County Management Association, requested President Donald Trump to formally pause all open public comment periods concerning both active rulemakings and non-rulemaking notices across every federal department or agency.

Regulations.gov acknowledges nearly 700 open comment periods that will close in the next 30 days and more than 1,000 over the next 90 days.
