The Nevada Lawmaker Was NCSL's Immediate Past President
Washington, D.C.—William Pound, National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) executive director, released the following statement following the death of Nevada Senator Debbie Smith on Sunday:
“I know I speak for everyone at the National Conference of State Legislatures when I say we will miss Senator Smith. She was an outstanding person, legislator and president of NCSL. She leaves a beautiful legacy in public service and will be missed by all who knew her.”
