More Than 40 Policy Sessions Set for NCSL Capitol Forum

Denver—State legislatures from across the country will talk redistricting when they convene next year. This is also true for the National Conference of State Legislatures’ 2019 NCSL Capitol Forum—Dec. 10-12 in Phoenix— as redistricting takes center stage at the annual meeting.

More than 40 sessions from a variety of speakers are on the schedule for next week’s  Forum. Sessions include:

  • The State of Redistricting: An Overview
  • Arming School Personnel: The Pros and Cons
  • It's Go Time for the Census: Counting Down to 2020
  • State Actions on Student Loan Oversight: Dollars and Sense
  • Supreme Court Preview: Get Briefed on All the Hot Issues

Registration Information for Media

All meetings held in conjunction with the NCSL Capitol Forum are open to the press. Online registration is open through Dec. 5; on-site registration for media is available between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort at 50 East Marriott Drive. Please review NCSL’s media policy before registering. Registration is required but free to credentialed members of the media.

NCSL is a bipartisan organization that serves the legislators and staffs of the states, commonwealths and territories. It provides research, technical assistance and opportunities for policymakers to exchange ideas on the most pressing state issues and is an effective and respected advocate for the interests of the states in the American federal system.
