NCSL Updates 2013 Legislation on Environmental Health Database
DENVER—More than 1,000 bills resulting in 193 laws related to environmental health have been introduced in state legislatures so far in 2013, according to an updated Environmental Health Database created by the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL).
In 2013, legislators from every state introduced 1,138 bills addressing issues such as chemicals in children’s products, swimming pools and aquatic health, body arts and tattooing, drinking water and sanitation.
