WASHINGTON, D.C. — Mitch McConnell, minority leader of the U.S. Senate, and Tom Perez, director of the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, are confirmed to participate in the 2024 National Conference of State Legislatures’ Legislative Summit in Louisville, Ky.
McConnell will address the Republican legislators' breakfast session and Perez will address the Democratic legislators' session on Wednesday, Aug. 7. Both will discuss topics facing states across the nation.

Reflective of its national membership, NCSL's Legislative Summit is held in a different city each year. This year's Summit is projected to generate more than $4.8 million in economic activity in Louisville, with over 5,000 attendees.
All meetings held in conjunction with NCSL's Legislative Summit are open to the press. Registration is required but free to credentialed members of the media and limited to no more than two passes per requesting entity.
