The administration announced Sept. 14 it has approved the EV charging network plans submitted by 35 states under the new National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure program, with investments totaling $900 million. Read more

On Aug. 30, the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals struck down a 2019 Texas law that restricted the ability to build, own or operate new transmissions lines to only those entities already owning transmission facilities in the same region of the state. Read more

California Legislature Aims for 90% Clean Electricity by 2035 as Part of Sweeping Climate Package 

State lawmakers passed several bills to close their session, including a 90% clean energy target by 2035, support for clean energy projects, and funding and authorization to delay the retirement of the 2.2 GW Diablo Canyon nuclear facility. Read more
