A Taste of Washington

Washington State Convention Center
Monday, Aug. 3 | 5:30-7 p.m.

Take a whirlwind tasting tour of Washington and experience what makes this state such a great place to visit. Enjoy the tastes, sights and sounds of the Evergreen State. Vintners from all over the world have made Washington their home, and some will share their award-winning wines with you. Sample chardonnay from Walla Walla, Syrah from Woodinville, blush rose’ from the Columbia River Gorge, and more! Washington is also home to America’s very first brewpub and more than 240 breweries. So if wine’s not your cup of tea, you can enjoy the art of craft-brewing from a wide variety of local, small-batch superstars. You will also be treated to musical and dancing performances by young, local artists from the Seattle Theater Group. And, as you’re out for the rest of the evening in the Emerald City, be sure to grab a cup of the state’s other world-famous beverage—coffee!

Washington Block Party

Wednesday, Aug. 5 | 6:30-10 p.m.

The Space Needle is one of the world’s most famous landmarks, and, for this one night, it’s reserved just for us. Breathtaking views of Mt. Rainier, Puget Sound and the beautiful Seattle skyline are just an elevator ride away. But that’s not all that awaits you as you step into a block party Seattle style. Enjoy a variety of street performers and artists as you sample delicious local foods and wines. Listen to the Seattle Rock Orchestra, a 50-piece group that delights with tributes to the Beatles, Stevie Wonder, David Bowie, Queen and other classic musicians, and Vicci Martiniz, a local rock musician and known for her powerhouse vocals. Wander through the gorgeous Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibit and experience the genius of artist Dale Chihuly. Come and enjoy Seattle’s block party, a not-to-be-missed adventure for the whole family!
