10th Annual Walk for Wellness

Wednesday, Aug. 5 | 6:30-8 a.m.
The Walk will take place in Myrtle Edwards Park, along the beautiful Seattle Waterfront. There will be bus transportation from the Sheraton Seattle Hotel. Buses will leave from the Sheraton (6th Avenue and Union Street) at 6:15 a.m. and return at the end of the event.

The 5K Run/Walk is dedicated to raising awareness of the devastating effects of chronic diseases, while drawing special attention to the health disparities that exist in minority and underserved communities.

11th Annual Bipartisan Bike Ride

Thursday, Aug. 6 | 6:15-8 a.m.

Join conference attendees on a picturesque ride through Seattle. The 11th annual Bipartisan Bike Ride, to be held on Thursday, Aug. 6 at 6:15 a.m., is an excellent opportunity to chat with fellow riders and see the sights of the city at a leisurely 10 mph.

All skill levels and ages are welcome to join this guided ride. Bikes and helmets are provided, as well as breakfast snacks and drinks. You must register to participate in this ride. Preference is given to state lawmakers, their families and legislative staff in that order.

Thanks to the American Heart Association, American Society of Civil Engineers, General Mills, Walmart, People for Bikes and Primal Wear for sponsoring the Bipartisan Bike Ride! This ride is a joint partnership of NCSL, BikeTexas and Washington Bikes.

The starting location is Westlake Park at Fourth Avenue and Pine Street. It is three and a half blocks west of the Washington State Convention Center. 

Online registration for the ride is now closed. If you are a legislator, please email Douglas Shinkle as we can typically continue to accommodate legislators on the ride.

The nation's largest gathering of legislators and legislative staff for more than 40 years.
