These experts provided new legislators with tips on how to master the rules, carry legislation, provide constituent service and earn the respect of fellow lawmakers. They shared advice about maximizing your strengths, building relationships with your colleagues, finding a mentor and staying true to yourself.

Resolution: Women, Power and Change in America


This 12-minute video highlights women legislators whose work has not only influenced policy in their states, but also served as a model or example in others.  It also emphasizes the essential role women play in state legislatures as well as the important service that the Women's Legislative Network provides by supporting and empowering female lawmakers.  The video features interviews with seven state legislators and two U.S. Senators.
