Quad Caucus Logo The Quad Caucus is a convening of the National Asian Pacific American Caucus of State Legislators (NAPACSL), National Black Caucus of State Legislators (NBCSL), National Caucus of Native American State Legislators (NCNASL) and the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators (NHCSL).

The mission of the Quad Caucus of state legislators is to promote equitable outcomes in all communities, focusing on people of color in the areas of health, education, family economic security and juvenile justice. The Quad Caucus seeks to strengthen cross-racial relationships, increase the percentage of policy making leaders that support an equity agenda and racial healing, and build a national voice.

Members of the Quad Caucus are also members of NCSL by virtue of being a state legislator. NCSL convenes legislators and legislative staff at over 100 meetings a year on a variety of topics and trainings. Over the course of the Quad Caucus convenings, and upon request from the Quad Caucus, NCSL has provided staff expertise on various policy topics. The National Asian Pacific American Caucus of State Legislators (NAPACSL) is comprised of 168 state legislators from 33 states across the country and is a collective effort to bring in Asian American and Pacific Islander perspectives on policies that affect their communities, including economic development, educational equity and culturally competent services such as health care.

NCNASL

The National Caucus of Native American State Legislators (NCNASL) works to promote a better understanding of state-tribal issues among policymakers and the public at large. Caucus members meet annually. With 80 members from 20 states, members hope to encourage a broad awareness of state-tribal issues across the country and raise the profile of tribal issues throughout the state legislative arena.

The National Black Caucus of State Legislators (NBCSL) is the nation's premier organization representing and serving the interests of African American State legislators. With more than 700 members representing more than 60 million Americans, NBCSL serves as a national network, advocate and catalyst for public policy innovation, information exchange, and joint action on critical issues affecting African Americans and other marginalized communities. Through research, education, and advocacy, NBCSL strengthens its members and helps ensure their strong, effective and influential voice on Capitol Hill.

The National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators (NHCSL) is the preeminent organization serving and representing the interests of over 440 Hispanic state legislators from all states, commonwealths, and territories of the United States. The mission is to serve as a catalyst for joint action on issues of common concern to all segments of the Hispanic community. Efforts focus on advancements in education, healthcare, housing, economic development, criminal justice, and employment and job training.
