The National Legislative Services and Security Association (NLSSA) hosts the only national training event designed exclusively for state legislative staff who work in the areas of security, administrative services and tourism management. This year's conference offers participants a unique opportunity to learn important work skills, build relationships with colleagues from other states, and advance the effectiveness of America's state legislatures.
This year the NLSSA Professional Development Seminar will be held in Raleigh, N.C. at the Sheraton Raleigh Hotel from Oct. 5-10, 2014. NCSL, in conjunction with the North Carolina State Legislature, has invited a diverse group of faculty from throughout the state and country to speak on a wide range of security, historic preservation, personnel, and administrative topics. Please join us in the Tar Heel state for training, tours, workshops, roundtables and networking opportunities.
Registration fees are:
Early Bird ( thru July 31): $300
Post early bird rate for legislators and legislative staff: $350
All others: $400

Requires a credit card for everyone except legislators and legislative staff. Confirmations will be sent by email. Deadline to register online is Oct. 1, 2014.
If you can't make the registration cut-off, onsite registration will be available onsite at the Sheraton Raleigh Hotel beginning Oct. 5, 2014
Just print a copy of the registration form, fill it out and mail it back to NCSL.
Spouse/Guest Registration. The $150 guest fee includes admission to all scheduled meal functions and evening social events.

Cancellations received in the NCSL Denver office by Oct. 1, 2014, will be refunded minus a $50 processing fee. Cancellations must be made in writing and faxed to 303-364-7811. Fees cannot be refunded for registrations cancelled after the conference begins.
Please make your hotel reservations for the PDS at the Sheraton Raleigh Hotel by Sept. 8, 2014 . After that date, our room rate cannot be guaranteed.

Each attendee is responsible for making his or her hotel and travel arrangements.
If arranging hotel accommodations by phone, please indicate that you are attending the NCSL conference to receive the negotiated rate per night.
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel between May 14, 2014 and 6 p.m. hotel time on Oct. 4, 2014, there will be no forfeiture amount. If you cancel after 6 p.m. hotel time on Oct. 4, 2014, the forfeiture amount will be one night stay.
Raleigh is served by the Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU). Reservations must be made at least seven days in advance, but make arrangements early for the best rates.
