This October, NCSL presents a special national seminar designed especially for legislative human resource management professionals and senior legislative staff directors who are responsible for (or need to learn more about) critical employment processes and practices in state legislatures. State legislatures are complex work environments, subject to the full range of needs, risks and opportunities that any professional workplace might encounter. Senior managers and their HR directors must be aware of the latest HR trends, practices, laws and processes that affect and apply to their employees. This national seminar is designed to address these issues. It also is the only national forum where state legislative staff gather to discuss difficult HR challenges and explore innovative HR practices and opportunities.
More and more, legislative staff have come to understand the importance of understanding key HR ideas, issues and practices. Please join your colleagues in Denver this fall to learn how you can make your workplace and your legislature more effective. .
