Meet Your New NALIT Officers!

NALIT members at the NALIT Annual Business Meeting at the NCSL Legislative Summit in Nashville elected new officers for the 2019-20 conference year: Jeff Ford, CTO, Indiana, Chair; Soren Jacobsen, IT Specialist, Idaho; Vice-Chair; and Nate Rohan; Deputy Director, Legislative Technology Service Bureau, Wisconsin. Cindy O'Dell of Kentucky serves as past chair.

NALIT Legislative Summit Handouts

NALIT sponsored several sessions at the NCSL Legislative Summit in Nashville, Aug. 4-8, including sessions about cybersecurity, recruiting and retaining IT staff, and tech tools that make legislative life easier. The annual NALIT Business Meeting was also held on Aug. 8, where award winners were congratulated and new officers were elected.

NALIT Awards

The LINCS/NALIT Online Democracy Award is given each year to a legislature, legislative chamber or caucus whose website helps make democracy user-friendly. The Legislative Staff Achievement Award is given to an individual or a team that has contributed to the legislative institution and NALIT. Both awards are presented at the NCSL Legislative Summit.
