LocationThe annual NCSL Fiscal Analysts Seminar provides both the knowledge of national experts and the expertise of senior legislative staff who are policy experts in their states. This year’s seminar offers 20 panels, discussions and presentations highlighting vital state fiscal issues. 

This seminar is designed specifically for legislative fiscal and research staff with budget or tax responsibilities. Legislative council, committee, research and program evaluation staff, and executive budget office staff will benefit from the program. The seminar is a unique opportunity to explore key topics in depth and meet informally with colleagues from around the country to discuss common concerns.

This year's seminar will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah, August 29-31.



Registration fees are:

  • Legislative staff: $350 (early bird: register before July 31)
  • Legislative staff: $375 (registered after July 31)
  • Spouse/guest: $150
  • All others: $450

    Registration online requires a credit card for everyone except legislators and legislative staff. Confirmations will be sent by e-mail, and meeting materials will be mailed.

  • Onsite Registration
    If you are unable to meet the Aug. 22 registration deadline, register onsite.
When registering please select one track: Medicaid, Crime and Corrections or Tax and Revenue.
  • Spouse/Guest Registration. The $150 fee includes admission to all scheduled meal functions and evening social events.

Cancellations received in the NCSL Denver office by August 28  will be refunded minus a $50 processing fee. Cancellations must be made in writing and faxed to 303.364.7811 or emailed to Fees cannot be refunded for registrations cancelled after the conference begins.

Each attendee is responsible for making his or her hotel and travel arrangements. Reservations must be held by one night's room deposit (major credit card guarantee is acceptable).

Reservations must be made at least seven days in advance, but make arrangements early for the best rates.

The hotel does not have an airport shuttle, but taxis are available for about $25 one way.
