The American Society of Legislative Clerks and Secretaries (ASLCS) hosts an annual Professional Development Seminar (PDS) for principal clerks and secretaries and their staffs.
This year's meeting takes place in Seattle, Wash., and aims to bring together U.S. and international participants to learn important skills and procedures, build relationships, and take away new tools and ideas to enhance the effectiveness of state legislatures.
On the agenda are sessions on leadership, parliamentary procedure, civics education and technology; breakouts for principals and associates; and meetings of the standing committees, special committees, and the 2020 Mason's Manual Commission. In addition, our hosts are planning an array of social events that will allow attendees to network with their counterparts in other states while experiencing the best of Seattle and Olympia! - Register Online: Credit card required for everyone except legislative staff. Confirmations will be sent by email. Deadline to register online is Friday, Sept. 13, 2019.

Cancellations received in the NCSL Denver office by Friday, Sept. 20, 2019 will be refunded minus a $50 processing fee. Cancellations must be made in writing and emailed to email@example.com or faxed to 303-856-2554. Fees cannot be refunded for registrations cancelled after the conference begins.

After that date, our room rate cannot be guaranteed. Please mention that you are attending the ASLCS Professional Development Seminar. You can also reserve your room online.

Notes: The group rate will be honored three days pre- and post-meeting, depending on room availability. Reservations must be cancelled 72 hours prior to arrival. Each attendee is responsible for making his or her hotel and travel arrangements.
