2017 ASLCS Professional Development Seminar

Phoenix | Sept. 24-29, 2017

Join your colleagues in Phoenix! The American Society of Legislative Clerks and Secretaries (ASLCS) hosts an annual Professional Development Seminar (PDS) for principal clerks and secretaries and their staffs.

This year's meeting takes place in Phoenix, and aims to bring together participants from across the country and internationally to learn important skills and procedures, build relationships, and take away new tools and ideas to enhance the effectiveness of state legislatures.

On the agenda are plenary sessions hosted by Christine Cashen and Paul Chabot, concurrent sessions (including one from performer and "dean of Arizona historians" Marshall Trimble), breakouts for principals and associates, and meetings of the standing committees, special committees, and the 2020 Mason's Manual Commission. In addition, our hosts are planning an array of social events that will allow attendees to network with their counterparts in other states while experiencing the warm Arizona hospitality!
