2015 ASLCS Professional Development Seminar

Sept. 20-25, 2015 | Raleigh, N.C.

The American Society of Legislative Clerks and Secretaries (ASLCS) will hold its 2015 Professional Development Seminar Sept. 20-25, in Raleigh, N.C. If you can attend only one training seminar this year, plan to attend the ASLCS Professional Development Seminar in Raleigh.

Legislative clerks and secretaries are the chief parliamentarians for each chamber. They and their staff work in a unique environment for which little formal training is available. The ASLCS annual seminar responds to these training needs by offering the only national training seminar that emphasizes the development of professional skills for these critical members of legislative staff.

The purpose of the ASLCS Professional Development Seminar is threefold:

  • To improve the administrative and parliamentary effectiveness of state legislatures.
  • To develop procedures to enhance lawmaking.
  • To provide a forum where legislative staff can network and learn from their counterparts in other states.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to enhance your skills and participate in NCSL's most dynamic staff section!
