Other members/guests in attendance included Sandy Tenney (UT), Sarah Clapp (NC), Leigh Gipple (NC), Ann Cornwell (AR), and Rob Marchant, President (WI).

Approval of Minutes

Upon a motion by Sandy Tenney seconded by Jay Braxton, the minutes of the last meeting held April 16, 2011, during the Spring Meeting in Pittsburgh, PA were approved.

Old Business

There was not any Old Business pending before the committee.

New Business

Chair Weeks shared copies of the updated International Directory with the committee.

Chair Weeks discussed the reception to be held for international guests at the PDS in Branson, MO. The reception will be co-sponsored with the Canadian-American Relations Committee and be held on Tuesday, September 27 from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm in the Hospitality Suite.

Rob Marchant, ASLCS President talked to committee about his work with officials and staff of the Kenyan National Assembly. They are in the process of transitioning from a parliamentary system to a bicameral legislature. The committee supported President Marchant’s planned request to the Executive Committee to invite the Kenyan staff to the PDS in Branson in September.


Upon a motion by Ann Cornwell (AR) seconded by Ann Krekelberg (AK), the meeting was adjourned.
