RE: ASLCS Committee Assignments for 2011-2012
This year’s 45th annual Professional Development Seminar of the American Society of Legislative Clerks and Secretaries will convene on September 28, 2011, in Branson, Missouri. Each year prior to the annual Professional Development Seminar, ASLCS members have an opportunity to choose on which standing committees they would like to serve during the following year.
Most of the work of the American Society of Legislative Clerks and Secretaries is done by its standing committees. The committees are divided into three categories-A, B, and C-for scheduling purposes. For your information, Foyou can review the descriptions of the 12 standing committees here.
It is now time to make your committee selections for 2011-2012. Please complete the enclosed committee selection form and return it to me on or before August 1, 2011 or use the online questionnaire located on the ASLCS website. The link to the ASLCS Committee Questionnaire can be found here. If you experience difficulties selecting online, please contact Angela Andrews at (303) 856-1349 or email@example.com. Even though you may not be able to travel in the upcoming year, please make committee selections so that you can remain involved with ASLCS. Committee chairs will be encouraged to communicate with all members of their committees in the decision-making process via e-mail or phone contact.
I also would appreciate knowing if you are interested in serving as a committee chair or vice chair.
