Why did you choose to work at the Legislature?

I chose to work at the Legislature because it offers the unique opportunity to make a real difference. While progress at the federal level can be slow, at the state level, we are constantly introducing and passing legislation that tangibly impacts people’s lives.

What skill or talent are you most proud of?

I’m most proud of my ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and translate complex legal or technical concepts into something accessible. Whether I’m working with the general public or policymakers, I strive to make the conversation clear and productive.

What’s the best advice you were ever given?

The best advice I’ve ever received is, “The sun will always come up tomorrow.” It reminds me that even in difficult situations, there’s always an opportunity for a fresh start and progress.

Who or what inspires you?

I’m inspired by my mentor, Marge Ray, who has guided me through my journey as a legislative attorney. I’m also inspired by the work ethic of my parents and my wife, who remind me every day to give my best effort in everything I do.

What’s one thing you love about your state or territory?

In Arizona, I love that I can enjoy dinner outside with my wife and our two dogs during the mild winters. And when the Phoenix heat becomes too intense, we have access to almost any biome within the Grand Canyon State to explore.

What are you currently reading/listening to/watching?

I’m currently reading “Rhythm of War,” by Brandon Sanderson. It’s an incredible fantasy novel that’s part of a series I’ve been enjoying for years.
