NCSL is committed to enhancing the role of states and state legislatures in the federal system. To facilitate this effort, NCSL engages with members of Congress and the administration on state-federal priorities and advocates on behalf of state legislatures according to the policy directives and resolutions adopted at the NCSL annual meeting. NCSL also brings legislators to Washington, D.C., to meet with members of Congress, the administration and other stakeholders involved in crucial state-federal issues.
