- New co-chair introduction, Senator Bryce E. Reeves, Virginia
- Military and Veterans Affairs Task Force will not be meeting at the NCSL Legislative Summit in Tampa, in November.
- NCSL will host a tribute at the Legislative Summit, on Nov. 4, 2021, Tampa, Fla., honoring all who served and continue to serve in state legislatures in advance of Veterans Day. Special guest Vernice “Fly Girl” Armour, America’s first Black female combat pilot and former Captain in the United States Marine Corps, will be on hand to share her gutsy story and illuminate the legacy of service.

- Legislators and legislative staff attending the meeting gave short reports on their state's 2021 legislative accomplishments on military and veterans affairs.
