NCSL State Elections 2022 Post-Election Briefing

Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022 | 8:45 a.m. ET

The upcoming election will be the most closely-watched political moment in years. Voters in 46 states will go to the polls on Tuesday, Nov. 8, to determine the outcome of 6,279 legislative races. Of the nation’s 7,386 legislators, 3,978 are Republican and 3,266 are Democrat. Republicans maintain 61 legislative chambers while Democrats hold 37. Nebraska has a nonpartisan, unicameral Legislature.

NCSL elections and redistricting experts Wendy Underhill, Ben Williams and Amanda Zoch will host a post-election discussion about what the outcome means for states, and what to expect in the upcoming legislative sessions.

The event will be held Nov. 10, 2022, from 8:45-10 a.m. at the National Press Club, 529 14th St. NW, 13th Floor, Washington, D.C. You can attend in person or watch the briefing online.

Visit the 2022 NCSL State Elections page for analysis and discussion of all things related to the 2022 elections and what they mean for state policy in the coming year.
